Hello, I am a businessman looking for a helpdesk software that is user friendly, easily deployable and custom fields and has complete email integration. Can anyone suggest a software that helps our firm on the matter?

We use Numara Footprints. Not sure what it would cost a business as we are education, but integrates well with email, SCCM, SQL based (if you want), has its own asset management system and change management, again if you want.

Another vote for Service Desk Plus pretty good software and great tracking features regarding software compliance.

I know I'm digging up an old one here. I needed something and remembered this thread. I tried the free version of this product today. It's very powerful and appears pretty economic. The support I got from their LiveChat was good too.

Kristi, maybe you could try Pathworks software. It is a Free web based helpdesk service. It is also easy to use and has customizable fields. Pathworks also has a guided self service portal. It can also be scaled according to your company’s requirements. It has automatic updates. For more information, you could visit their site at www.pathworkssoftware.com

Hi Kristi,

My Company uses Serio Service Desk which is geared towards ITILs Best Practice and is great. They also do helpdesk software that covers everything you have listed.
Check out their website for feature tours of their software.

For anyone thats interested they also have IT Service Management blogs and white papers where experiences / solutions can be shared.

Our company uses ServiceDesk Plus.

We've been pleased with SDP as well, and it offers a ton of features for a pretty low price.

There are some application templates for WSS 3.0 which might do the job. There is a Help Desk one and an IT Team Workspace. I had a look at the IT Team Workspace but it wasn't really doing what I was looking for. Licensing for WSS 3.0 is included with W2003 so price should not be a problem.

Our company uses ServiceDesk Plus. It has all of the capabilities that I think any helpdesk would need.

The company I work for uses Oxygen. Can't vouch for the cost though, but it works quite nicely.

I don't know your budget but Helpstar is a pretty nice product.

You should take a look at HelpSpot ([url]http://www.userscape.com/products/helpspot/[/url)] . It does everything you list and a new version is now available that even supports HTML email.
