Posted - 10/02/2009 : 08:43:19 AM Hi,
We have a W2003 domain with XP workstations / laptops. We would like the laptop users to be forced to use a particular proxy when they are not connected to the domain, the point being so that they can only connect to the corporate network, so all web browsing is safe and monitored. We also need to try and ensure that they don't just use Firefox to get around the restrictions.
Can this be achieved with / without third party software?
Thanks |

Have you any idea how this would work if the user takes his laptop to a hotel which forces a home page? |

Posted - 10/02/2009 : 08:59:53 AM Yes, but you will have to tweak the Firewall so as to only allow outgoing communications to that proxy host.
When you've got it up and running, I suggest you post a step-by-step here as I think many of us would be interested.
