Posted - 03/13/2012 : 8:30:47 PM I'm thinking about buying a Chromebook (don't laugh) for a couple of reasons some relating to my clients and others personal. I'm seeing and sometimes participating in a pretty big move to the Google (and Microsoft) Cloud this year. I haven't tried the Chromebook yet - I realize I won't be able to use the full MS cloud with a CBook. The reviews on Amazon and Newegg are pretty good if you understand and agree to the machines' limits. I can't seem to find any one, even with a Google search, who has direct experience with the ChromeBook and PNC online Banking. Could I assume that if my banking website works on the Chrome browser (It does) that it would - most likely - work on the ChromeBook which is just one big browser? I thought the CBook would be a pretty good and secure banking computer if I could get it to work.
Thanks, Timmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
See you in VB!! |

Posted - 03/14/2012 : 10:03:11 PM Thank you! I'm gonna give it a try. I like my iPad and it's also an extremely crippled but strangely usefull computer. Ditto the iPhone.
Thanks again! Timmmmmmmmmmmmmm |

Posted - 03/14/2012 : 03:22:22 AM Its a good question to ask Tim. I always assumed that my Android phone had a chrome browser - it does not. The chrome Browser is in Beta for Android devices
However, Chrome Books do run the Chrome Browser, you should be good to go. http://googleblog.blogspot.com/2011/05/new-kind-of-computer-chromebook.html
So yes, your online banking should work.
