We have a bunch of shared mailboxes, which customers for some reason have started to send emails marked as "private" to, meaning that they are not showing up, even though people are given full permissions to the mailbox.
Is there any way server side to grant people the right to read mails marked as private ? |

Apperantly you can set the ViewPrivateItems property by using EWS and not in EMS. Have a look at http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/da-DK/winserverpowershell/thread/c62662e0-4b81-4489-be0d-1e4eb794f65b
