Not been on here for a couple of weeks but after reading this I am sure you will understand why.
some of you may have been aware that my wife Kirsty and I were expecting our second child this month. Today, in fact. However, on New Year's Day we discovered that our baby boy had fallen asleep at 38 weeks. He was born at the Royal Derby Hospital in the UK on the 4th January after an induced labour. As you can imagine, the entire experience has been absolutely horrific for us. Today, instead of looking forward to a new addition to our family and a brother for our other son Thomas, we are instead having it make funeral arrangements for our son who we have named James Andrew Wiser.
The reason for this post is to ask anyone on this forum if they could possibly make a small contribution to a fundraising page that we have set up which will benefit the SANDS organisation in the UK. SANDS have been a real help to us in the last couple of weeks and without their assistance I do not know how we could have coped. One thing that they provided us with was a memory box with resources inside it to take photographs of our son, take footprints and hand prints and also included a blanket to wrap him in. Such things are so fundamental to getting essential memories of our son and our box is something we will treasure for the rest of our lives.
Please help us to help other couples in this situation. If you can spare a few quid please pop over to www.just giving.com/JamesWiser and give what you can. Thankyou for reading.

Hi all. I'm really pleased to say that we've raised approaching £3,000 towards the Sands charity. Thanks again go to all the people on this forum who have donated.

Thankyou for your messages everyone, and also than you for the donations that have been made. It is absolutely staggering to me that people I have never met in person are willing to make such contributions to our fund. It is so kind and we are so appreciative.
