Yeah, I noticed the massive price increases too. I don't have a really long zoom lens at the moment though. I have a 70-300mmm which is pretty good, but so many times I wish I could get closer and couldn't.
I would like something around 400mm max  |

Sales of Canon glass will go DOWN. So far, all the new L stuff has doubled in price. You'd be mad to upgrade. |

I wonder how Canon will respond? The 5D Mark II is due for replacement soon. There are rumours that they may split the 5D line up like this:
5D X
45MP (With a pixel size similar to the power shot G1X)
