I noticed that my WSUS service stopped working, it had been a week or so since I got an update. When I logged in I had the WSUSService stopped, restarted, and got the EventID 13042. I also noticed the MSSQL issue. Not sure if these are related. Nothing has been isntalled/added/removed so that should not have caused the errors.

I found a maintenance script that might help:
sqlcmd -I -S \\.\pipe\MSSQL$MICROSOFT##SSEE\sql\query –i path\WsusDBMaintenance.sql

Any ideas would be helpful, I am a serious newbie and need to get this back up and running.

Michael
