Hi Everyone,

I have a program that is giving me a pretty big issue.
A part of it crashes when run at the workstation.

The program isn't really complicated (a link from the Workstation runs an exe from a network share). The Network share is setup through GP.

But a part of it relies on Office 2010, an option is taken in a menu with in the program that automatically brings up Word, and puts info into the word document. So this is the part having an issue. The program just crashes when this option is taken.

I suspect it has something to do with SBS 2011 we're running. Win 7 pro clients. The reason I say this is because I setup a test 2008R2 Standard Server and it ran okay. So SBS has a ton of 'ready-out-of-the-box' security settings. I think it's a GP issue, but there are several. Should I just turn them all of (disable the Link Enabled option)? I'm not sure if it's a GP affecting the Workstation, or if there is something affecting the Server. I suspect the Workstation.

I don't think it's a file permission problem, I literally gave 'everyone' full control to the Share and the folders/files in it.

Just hoping for some friendly advice.

Thank you!

Why not disable the SBS2011 Group policies to test if they are causing the issue? (temporarily)
