Posted - 06/05/2012 : 10:57:59 AM Missy got a new camera and was taking pictures for various school projects. She used the simple jpg format with a new SanDisk SDHC card. When she went to transfer them off, Windows said it didn't see any pics. So she gave her to her tech guy who ran some sort of utility and pulled the pics off. The problem is that when you look at the thumbnail preview of the files they appear to be fine. But when you open some of them up, they are distorted. The other tech guy must have formatted the card because I've ran various utilities, including one from SanDisk, and it comes back empty. So I'm forced to having to manipulate the pictures. The following is an example of one of the pics in my skydrive space.

Posted - 06/05/2012 : 1:54:45 PM I'm afraid I would have to concur. I had something similar happen to a Lexar that I had been using for a little less than a year. I was convinced it must be the 5+ year old camera I was using, rather than the relatively new memory card. However I was able to confirm without a doubt that it was the card and not the camera. If this is happening to you on an absolutely brand new one, then I'd contact Sandisk.
