We've been using Listserv (by L-soft) for years now to send out newsletters. The problem is it was created back around 1984 (as they proudly advertise) and in my opinion not much has changed since then. I'm hoping to find a simpler (more intuitive) alternative as list managagement and creation is a complete headache. We've got about 100 lists ranging in size from 50-50k subscribers. If anyone has any experience with Listserv or other products I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts.

Thanks!

I know that this is kind of an old post, but I was wondering if you came up with a different solution. I'm in the process of looking for something to help manage some mailing lists at work. People are currently trying to use Outlook and it is begining to get out of control.

Listserv was one of the first products I came across, but would like to have something else to compare it to.

Thanks
Eric

Eric,

http://www.inxmail.com would be my vendor of choice if the amount and/or complexity of mail being sent justifies the price tag.

http://www.group-mail.com is my recommendation for a smaller budget.

And lastly, there still is

http://www.mapilab.com/outlook/#mail_merging which is dirt cheap and... just works but lacks most of the features you'd need for professional list marketing.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'll take a look at those.
