Stuff you'll find at this link:

* IPv4 to IPv6 Mapper - Maps a valid IPv4 address into IPv6 address notation
* IPv6 CIDR to Range Tool - Provides information about a range of IPv6 addresses using CIDR notation
* Range to IPv6 CIDR Tool - Provides information about a given range of IPv6 addresses, using CIDR notation
* IPv6 Compressor Tool - Removes empty octects from an expanded IPv6 address
* IPv6 Expander Tool - Expands a compressed IPv6 address into its full 128-bit notation
* IPv6 WHOIS Lookup Tool - Provides a complete set of IPv6 address information
* Local IPv6 Range Generator - Generates global IDs, subnet IDs, and the valid IPv6 range of addresses

Or you can just say "Screw IPv6.... we have NAT, baby!!"

Porky, I think you mean CGN... Carrier Grade NAT!

Yes, friends, just think of it... you pay a boatload of money for cable modem/DSL and find that you're getting 10.x.x.x addresses.

IPv6 is our friend.

NAT is our fiend.

Long live technology.

The Star Wars telnet thing don't show too much more, boohoo.

What's this NAT thing you're jabbering on about, and how do I enable it on my Lantastic over token-ring and ARCNET network?

Lantastic that was fun, almost as fun as Banyan / VINE and NOS networking on ethernet or token ring.

Couple of my first IT jobs put me into places that used both and my work was moving them to Novel, I know what a shocker... LOL.

The good old days, when I used to get out of my chair and go do work and touch hardware a couple times each week. Anyone remember the fun of a large network with token ring and having to find that terminated connection that was kicked by someone under their desk? Getting to do the search from one end of a building to the other to figure which was disconnected.

It was a built in exercise plan for the IT guy. <GRIN>

Watch it there guy, I cut my teeth on Lantastic. Way back then
it was the cats meow. And cheap.
It also made me exercise chasing down the coax cable connection that was bad. All in all a great learning experience.
