I've installed the DPM 2010 agent on a number of WinXP and Win7 clients. Sometimes I've run into problems, but have always been able to overcome them. Until now.

I'm trying to install the agent on an XP client, and can't get it to go. Each time I get this error:
Installing agent and configure for dpmserver =[AFSC.local\PHL-DPM1]
DPMAgentInstaller failed with errorcode =0x80070643, error says: Fatal error during installation.

I've rebooted the client many times. I've added myself and the DPM server into the local administrators group. I've tried installing the agent without the server switch. I've tried installing it locally and pushing it from the server. When I push from the server, I get a slightly different error:

Install protection agent on BLX-8W7MWB1.AFSC.local failed:
Error 313: The agent operation failed because an error occurred while running the installation program on BLX-8W7MWB1.AFSC.local.
Error details: Fatal error during installation (0x80070643)
Recommended action: Review the log files on BLX-8W7MWB1.AFSC.local: [windir]\temp\msdpm*.log and take appropriate action. Retry the operation, and if the error persists, restart the computer and then retry the operation again.

Any hints or suggestions?
