If you are a regular on this forum, I'm sure you have read of all the woes of the current company I'm employed by. We have had servers croak and Exchange corruption. We've done emergency AD forest migrations over a weekend. We have upgraded from Exchange 2003 to 2010 over a different weekend. We changed our internal IP scheme from a 128.X.X.X to a 10.10.0.0. We continue to experience all sorts of weird things in the environment.
We've done some stuff over the past year that were done in haste, and to "just get things running again". It's been close to a year, and we still don't have full confidence that we are in a properly configured, healthy state. We are buried in tickets and projects and do not have the luxury of researching each thing and running all that would be required to troubleshoot all these areas, and come at them from a context of the holistic environment.
We want somebody to make sure our foundation is intact so we can be sure we are not spinning our wheels on problems that may (or may not be) rooted in AD, DNS, or Exchange setup.
We are looking for somebody on a consulting basis who has experience in very large environments/deployments that can have a look at our little Exchange, AD, & DNS setup and make sure we are doing things in the appropriate way.
THINK OF THIS GIG AS BEING A HUMAN EXCHANGE, AD, DNS, BEST PRACTICES ANALYZER.
Everyone in our shop all have a passing knowledge of AD, DNS, and Exchange 2010. Our knowledge is broad, but not too deep. We need the guy who has been living and breathing Exchange so long that looking at our little setup and finding the issues will be like the rest of us running an IPCONFIG and verifying it looks right. The guy that knows this stuff in his sleep. The guy that sees quickly what's wrong and how to fix it. He knows it cold.
Are YOU that guy? Do you know that guy?
I know guys like Nathan, Willem, Jetze and the like are very qualified (and frankly the type we are looking for). But I'm not sure they are available for this type of work.
If any of you guys are available CONTACT ME OFFLINE please. We will pay you.
If you are not one of those mentioned above, but you feel you are at that level, and can provide references to back it up, please respond offline as well.
I'm not looking for guys like me that "dabble" in Exchange, but "the Dude"...
Are you "The Dude"? Contact me please.
Thanks,

There should be only one World's Greatest Dad shirt. And you should have to kill the previous owner to wear it.
