Hello--

Using DPM 2010.

I'm having a problem with one thing going to tape. Our Exchange 2010 protection group has two servers in it. One server has 5 databases being protected, the other has 7 databases being protected. None of the databases are particularly large.

The last two times the group has gone to tape, one of the databases has failed to backup to the tape. The error is:
The operation failed because of a protection agent failure. (ID 998 Details: The parameter is incorrect (0x80070057))

Googling the error has found some things, but all are centered around the thing being backed up having too many files in it. I think that's pretty unlikely, as the database is only 40Gb. We have others that are significantly larger but not having any trouble.

Any ideas about what the problem might be?

Thanks,
Rob
