I know darned well my brain just doesn't quite take in as quickly and thoroghly as it did 11 years ago when I finished up my MCSE 4.0.
But I still have to say tat 70-631 was brutal. I guess I can't go into the details of what was ON the test, but even with the MeasureUp test prep, I felt like I was floundering to come up with best guesses on more than half of it.
Of the two, I think I could probalby go back and pass the 70-630 today without studying fresh for it. But the WSS 3.0 just involves so much more knowledge of things beyond the SharePoint realm.
Gaaah, at least I have a printout to prove it. Yay.
Sleep .... sleep ... whererfore art though my sleep?

Life Lesson #568: Riding arena dirt is neither soft nor edible.
Any advice on migrating MOSS 2007 to 2010? Any good articles or links?
Well, Curt's been posting some good stuff lately. :-)
I admit, I'm woefully behind on regular old "reading." I"ve mostly been attending sharepoint user group meetings here in Chicago, then went to a SharePoint conference in St. Louis in April. So I've picked up a few things here or there, mostly about functionality, not so much migration or upgrade process.
They are very braggy on the point that you shold be able to upgrade to 2010 and have it "look like" 2007 for as long as you want before switching over to the new look and feel. The new look and feel is very ribbon-bar based, sort of like making the transition from Office 2003 to 2007.
Content types get bigger and more useful in 2010. Before they were limited to site collections, and now you can do farm-wide content types and farm-wide lookup lists that can have administrator-fed content along with user-added content, kinda like "tagging" for photos ... 2010 makes it easier for end-users to "tag" documents, and then for those tags to later be approved by an administrator for farm-wide use.
2010 is 64-bit only. Good step but annoying for someone like me who's now debating whether it's worthwhile to finally buckle down and buy a server for home.
