Has anyone found a solution to changing the profile server pointer using exprofre.exe when the profile is set to cached mode? I have searched here and other sites, but can't find a solution. I thought the group policy settings in the Office 2007 System Administrative Template might work since you can set cached mode to 'disabled', but it does not seem to change an existing account from cached to online.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hmm...it appears I was not patient enough with the group policy. It did disable cached mode, but trying to run the script and apply the group policy has confused it. I am still trying to work this out and will update soon.

For any interested in applying the Office 2007 System Admin Templates, here is a link that is helpful: http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/exchange-server-2007/management-administration/managing-outlook-2007-through-group-policies-part1.html

Well, I guess I solved my own question. Looks like if I wait for the GP to apply and then reboot the PC, the script will run for exprofre.exe and everything moves over fine.
