Anyone using anything other that DDC/ vCloud Director for deployment.

Preferably hyper-visor agnostic.

We are looking at a few and wondering if anyone else has any in place and is prepared to share privately or publicly?

Ok, since you posted about it Scott. What is the roadmap for this, is VMware going to pull the rug out on products? Some are just getting over CapIQ and Lifecycle manager going the way of "suite". Any insight you can give us on where this fits either within some product suite moving forward or what have you ...

Obviously there isn't a lot I can say about roadmap without NDA. I can honestly say since this product is a new acquisition that I can only speculate as to where its going to fit in, but it will probably reside on the infrastructure tier and integrate with vCloud Director eventually. Stay tuned to VMworld 2012, lots of good new stuff will be announced there, and needless to say Hyper-V will still be playing catch up :)

I know the goal is to have similar and complementary products be bundled into suites just like they did with vCOps. Also if you haven't noticed the products are trending away from Windows installs to vApps consisting of multiple vm's with the app and database running on stripped down linux builds. Lastly the goal is to have everything integrated tightly with vCenter for single pane of glass management, but at a higher level have the 3 layers tightly integrated for increased automation. Hopefully that answers your question...
