A couple of days ago, one of our RDS servers (a Hyper-V VM) had a problem and had to be forcibly restarted. Now I notice that users are getting logged on with temporary profiles. I haven't yet figured out how to get them back to using their normal roaming profiles yet. Any quick solution?
Remove their old profiles (local cache) from the Remote Desktop Server. You may still need to gracefully reboot before you can remove some of the profiles.
This shouldn't impact your users if you are using Roaming Profiles and their profiles aren't too large in size.
