Hello,

It's that time of the year again, looking at our antivirus options and was considering a move to Vipre from GFI Software.

Installation would be for 3 sites and approx 700 workstations total.

Appreciate any feedback/experiences (positive or negative) with this product. Would you recommend ?

Thanks,
Kevin

I've just started deploying Webroot secure endpoint (much smaller environment than yours) in place of Symantec Hosted Endpoint. Very lean and mean. Users report much better performance on their workstations as well (always nice when I hear that).

Support has been super as well. It's not perfect. There is no way to exclude folders for example. But it might be worth a look.

Kevin,

What are you using presently?
What is the reason for looking at the options to move?

With regards Viper, it does the job as per the box, can if it not tuned correctly HOG the machine CPU and if mis-configured miss everything completely - just like all of the others I'm afraid.
Tech support is better if you call the US numbers than the EMEA numbers, but you have to work to US times.

At this point in time, I think they are all as good and as bad as each other.

Ask the current supplier for a 50% discount as you have competitive pricing from another supplier, as that really is the only difference now! Well in my opinion!
