How can you disable the show characters in the wireless password settings. Does anyone know if there is a setting to disable this in windows 7. We can restrict access to the network settings and such but we need people to have access to connect to wireless connections if needed, but not be able to see an administrative wireless connection password once its been entered. ?
Is no real way to do this at machine level to the level of success that I wanted when looking to do the same thing you are asking about. GPO 802.1x settings sent to the client will hide a corporate password and allow users to configure personal or travel wireless settings.
I have seen some registry hacking information to hide it at the machine level, but have also seen people state it did not work or other issues would happen when making these tweaks.
I would like to have someone show me otherwise on this one. I spent time on several websites and the information shared and the end result, wasted time.
