we have a w2k8r2 dc and a dozone w7 clients. all of the clients are displaying event log errors for group policy of the event id's 7017, 7320, 7006, 7007 in that order each time the group policy does it's refresh or i use gpupdate /force. at the same time on the client system log the event 1053 & 1055 are displayed. the server event logs show no errors in either the system log or group policy log. we do have gfi vipre running on the server and clients. any help would be greatly appreciated.

i discovered what was causing all of the errors. the gfi vipre firewall was blocking ports 135 & 139. once those were opened up, group policy is functioning as advertised and the error messages went away.
