Test Setup. Setting up DAG. Each Server has 2 NICS. Replication and Public.

After I added first node to my TESDAG right after that Cluster Services Stopped on Server01 and my DB is dismounted and I don't see anything under networks tab under Database Availability Groups tab menu. Been struggling from the last 4 hours without much luck.

When I try to mount the DB it says ...

datatbase db01 can't be mounted on server01 due to a prvious error: failed to determine the mount status of the active db copy ... verify the underlying cause of the error has been corrected before attempting to mount the db.

Advise Please.

Thanks,

Sunny

How did you configure the network adapters on the server?

Thanks Jazzy.

2 NICS on each server.

Replication NIC: IP Address and Subnet mask Only and unchecked the option to register in the DNS and Disabled netbios over TCP/IP.

There is a direct cross over cable between the 2 nodes on the replication NICS.

The MAPI/Public NIC is configured as usual with IP, DNS, Gateway etc.

The binding order the MAPI/Public NIC is on the top.

That seems fine, there's a little bit more information in this article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd638104.aspx but most of it is minor.

I looked around for that error and from what I see it could be a firewall between te servers or another network problem. But I understand that this happens with the local server you're working on?

Thanks Jazzy.

Servers are on local LAN and windows firewall is disabled on all servers. I will go through the settings again with detail.

Cluster Service is not starting either and the witness directory on the HTServer is also empty

I saw your new thread, but wanted to know if it could be related to the old issue.
