Anyone (besides Mark and I) going to be at MS TechEd NA in Orlando next month? I ask for a few reasons:
1) It might be cool to get together. 2) I've never been and am looking for any tips you might have. 3) I'm wondering if the materials for all talks are generally available to all attendees afterward. If no, does anyone want to swap notes & materials (as much as one can ... Kinkos?) for simultaneous sessions that we can't attend, well, simultaneously.

I heard that all the cool guys are gonna be there but choose to ignore you.
I'm not visiting but I will later this year in Europe (Amsterdam). Some tips: - think about batteries or otherways charging of the devices you take notes with (assuming you won't use pen and paper). There are some power outlets in the venue but prbably not when and where you need them the most. - choose your sessions carefully. A level 400 session of that product you never worked with but would like some overview of, is not going to work. - take some sleep and make sure that you're well rested. The days are long and it costs a lot of energy to absorb all information, and chances are you have to walk quite a lot too. - if you're planning to get some work done, forget it. Unless you skip a slot every day, you're probably too busy getting to the next room or chatting with peers.
If I remember correcty, the (most/some) sessions are recorded and available after the event. The slide decks usually are. |

@Jazzy - Thanks for the tips! @Curt - I am only able to go due to the Educational discount which cuts the price almost in half. (I work at Duke University.) |

I work for myself so time away from work means no deliverables. Therefore I can't go unless I had the coin.
