I'm looking at the two options named in the subject line to redirect traffic to the dynamically assigned IP address used by one of my personal computers.

Has anyone here used either?

I'm looking at Dyn Standard DNS. It seems to be the most serious option with my choice of my own domain name:

Here's NoIP's offerings:

Any comments?

I've used NoIP both personally and commercially and works well. I prefer the agent to the router config.

With NoIP can you use your own domain name?

Looking through the different packages, it does not look like this is an option with the free option.

If I have to pay, it looks like it's just a matter of dollars between the two.

But it's good to have some positive feed-back.

EDIT:

Looks like even with the "Enhanced" package at $15, you'd have to use one of their domain names:

No-IP Enhanced is a great choice for users that individuals and small business that want to run their own website or blog, access their computer or security camera remotely, but have no need for their own domain name.

10$ to Google for a domain, edit your records for your home IP and use NoIP to follow the cname.
