Did an install in SEVEN MINUTES. Including me fat-fingering the config stuff... probably could have been six.

Cold startup to useful desktop is 44 sec of which 14 sec is waiting for the Lenovo BIOS splash screen. Wow.

(Installed onto a Crucial "500" GB SSD.)

I have Windows 8 installed natively on a Macbook Pro and a HP Netbook. I will tell you the logon times are phenominal on both - <60 seconds on the netbook and probably closer to 30 on the Macbook.

Try doing an automated install through WDS/MDT or SCCM on a 10GB network and SSD disks.... nice! :-D

Is that logon from the time you enter your credentials or from boot time? A 30 second logon (let alone 60 second) would hardly be exceptional.

So I'm assuming from boot?
