Yes it was SO COOL! that I locked my phone out of Zune on my PC and since I did not backup my photos and games, I lost it all due to having to set my Nokia 900 back to factory settings.
In case you did not notice this little warning take heed! They MEAN IT!
Granted I should have backed everything up first (not even sure how to back up games) but why in the world would you tie my phone directly into the security settings for changing the layout of a web site?
Does Microsoft want the Nokia 900 Win 7 phones to be a complete failure? They are sure doing a good job turning people off...
Best of luck with this. I have created an alias that I want to use as my primary however, even though it works as an alias I get this when I try to change the name of my hotmail account -
Way to go Microsoft! Make Apple look even better...
Before you do anything with Hotmail read these articles from Paul Thurrott first. I wish I had.
I can't get why they don't let me merge my old hotmail account -- which is my "live" ID -- into the outlook.com account so I can get rid of that goofy old hotmail account.
WARNING! IF you change your name in an attempt to do what Mark is wanting, do NOT change it to something temporary "thinking" you will just change it back later.
You MUST wait 6 months before you can change it again. NO I am not kidding. #EPICFAIL!
