I am embracing the new!!!! The new free download from stardock that is... Adds a functional start button with some nice right-click functionality. I tested and it works fine on server 2012. On Win8 you can also use it to boot directly to the real desktop instead of the metro start screen. http://www.stardock.com/products/start8/
